This is an album of good, old-fashioned dixieland standards played by a great group, with Harry Connick Jr. at the piano. Although he's only 11 years old, he plays some fun and creative solos, and in general, the CD is wonderful for all lovers of dixieland, and will put you in a good mood instantaneously. It's very up-beat, and fun to "groove" to! I really loved it!

This is the epitome of NewOrleans Jazz- Go On Harry!

As a native New Orleanian I've been blessed to follow Harry's career in person and on CD. (Did you know that Harry Connick, Sr. is the District Attorney of New Orleans and has a CD of his own?)

This is a phenomenal compilation of classic jazz for a young man who's talent is incredible even at age 11. Muskrat Ramble is perhaps my favorite classic jazz tune and Harry delivers with musical talent beyond his years.

I don't know how else to critique this kid except to say that tracks one through nine are no less wonderful than musicians far older and more established. Age aside, this a complete work of classic jazz art.

to get a good quality, single-disc collection of the original recordings of some of Merle Haggard's greatest music, "20 Greatest Hits" on the Capitol/EMI label is good, as is the budget cd "Best of the Best" also on Capitol (avoid similarly titled releases on different labels)...to really do Merle Haggard's legacy justice, easily the best single purchase currently available is the multi-label box set compilation called "Down Every Road"

A wonderful CD; you'll love it!

Merle Haggard is about as authentic country as it comes, and this CD has him at his uncompromising best! The great ones are on it: "Okie From Muskogee" and "The Fighting Side of Me." This one is so cool that it's mind-blowing! Merle Haggard is a gifted singer and a great American and a true country legend. And this one is at such a bargain price too! Only an idiot would pass this one up!

Great CD for a Great price!!

What I am looking for is a song recorded by Merle Haggard for my Father. The name of the song is California Cottonfields. It is one of his very favorites and I am trying to locate him a copy of this song. Can someone help? Please!
