On September 10th 2002, Michael Andrew Records simultaneously released two new, long awaited, albums. `Destination Moon' and `Michael Andrew Pays Tribute to Frank Sinatra' featuring interpretations of well-known classics with his Swingerhead Big Band.

Michael enlisted help from his top-notch musicians from both Swingerhead and The Coconut Club Orchestra plus some very special guests for these sensational CDs. 'Michael and Friends' completed their amazing recording sessions inside the famed 'Studio A' at Capitol Records Studios in Hollywood (where Frank Sinatra recorded the great songs) and in Mike's bi-coastal studios.

Every song on this cd is a treasure. A much needed addition to the Swingerhead catalog. Michael sings the songs in his own refreshin' swingin' style. Notable is guest vocalist Michelle Amato on "Mambo Italiano." Michelle captures the sassy, sexy style of Rosemary Clooney in her early years. Also very enjoyable; the Earthgirls join Michael and Swingerhead on "Hey Baby, I'm Home."

Currently, the band is performing in Florida with occasional jaunts to California.

I've been devoted to Michael ANdrew and Swingerhead since I saw his musical "Micky Swingerhead and the Earth Girls". "She Could Be a Spy" carries on the fun and excitement that the Rat Pack are known for. Get the CD! and get to Orlando FL to check out this swingin' band! -DR Baker, Los Angeles

Just saw the show in Pompano Beach, FL, and it was truly amazing. "Pick up the phone" and "She could be a spy" are songs that are a necessity for any swing music collector, but you must watch out for their slow songs, which cause women to take off all their clothes (uncontrollable). You will not be able to sit still and listen. do-ah, do-ah, do-ah....

These guys are just toe-tapping great!

I visited a friend in Orlando that I hadn't seen or heard from in 23 years. Didn't know if she still listened to the same stuff we grew up on or what. Then she puts on Swingerhead. I am still impressed. With Swingerhead and with Melanie's taste in music. She said "you gotta hear this local band, they're awesome!" Well, they are. I listen to everything and I say they're awesome. I am buying myself a copy today as I write this opinion. Do yourself a favor. Grab a copy and thank Melanie.

For just as much as this group has to brag, there is just as much that is bland. They're good, they could be great. I'd reccomend other CDs before this, but you probably won't regret spending the fifteen bucks...

Now when will Amazon.com start carrying their Christmas album?

Swingerhead... simply amazing. I was kinda into swing music when I first moved to FL, but I saw Swingerhead at Sunset Strip (before Rat Packs on the Ave.) and that got me into swing dancing. That was 4 years ago. I cannot listen to a Swingerhead tune and not dance, they are that good. I have been priviledged enough to hear nearly all of their stuff... Spy, I Might Be a Little Out of Date, The Big Demo (very limited, but VERY VERY AWESOME!) and the Christmas CD. I need to check out Mickey Swingerhead and the Earthgirls next. Harry Connick, Jr., look out!

I am only 8 and I have been a fan of Michael's since I was 4. His CD"s are the best. I love his music and his voice is so good. He really is a great performer and I can't wait for his next CD. I wqish he would do some more of his own music plus a little of Bobby Darin and Frank Sinatra. His voice is great and his band is good too. Check out his CD. You will love it.

First of all, you need to know I'm picky as heck. I look at swing discs to dance to... not just listen. This one has one of the best selections of tracks of any Swing compilations out there, but still misses the mark at collecting a rack of songs that work together to maintain a tempo that is consistantly danceable. Best I've seen, put you can probably mix a better disc/tape using a couple of discs like this. Good for your collection, but not great on its own.

this c.d. has all my favorite swing/jive bands from the best know to even one of our favorite Austin, Tx swing groups- The Lucky Strikes. Hard not to want to dance to every song.

One of my favorites is a Swingerhead original called Mistletoe Mambo. It's saucy and infused with bongo and Babaloo beats. It makes you want to siddle up to a swanky muchacha and lead her right to the mistle toe. Ai, papi!

Oh, I love this CD. I was in my car 2 years ago listening to the morning radio duo banter away as they reguarily do. The had some band in that morning, Swingerhead, that I had never heard of before. They began "The Night Berfore Christmas" and the place just went nuts. To this day, I've never heard the morning duo go so insane at the end of a song. I was bopping and tapping away to the song myself. I purposefully went out that afternoon and scoured the city for my own copy of a Swingerhead Xmas... the jazz, the beat, the voice... Baloo would be proud!

Every Christmas, I take out the CD and listen to my favorite #3 song over and over again! It's just the best.
