For those who depended on Wed. nights for survival this and any other recording by the Wu is a necessity. To the uninitiated,
this will be a new treat for you. If you enjoy jam bands, positive messages, and music to dance to, help yourself to a
big tasty helping of Wu. Each song on this album is strong, each melody is unique, nothing harsh or overdone. A real treat.
I've had the pleasure of introducing many friends to my favorite band, and I invite you too, my friend. You won't be dissapointed.
Sil CAN turnitover.

Album of the year? By a mile. And this comes from a band who excels live. I can go days without listening to anything but
Wu. Buy this album or miss out on something absolutely beautiful. See them live when they hit your town or state. See ya
at the show.

On Tracking Buffalo, The Big Wu blends clever rhymes with catchy melodies to create an extremely enjoyable CD. They easily
differentiate themselves from and possibly supersede other small jam bands with their songwriting and playing ability. The
lyrics sometimes have a ballsy triteness in their rhymes that is nothing less than hilarious. My favorite aspect of the CD
is how diverse sounding the band is. The Big Wu shifts from G Love/Sublime sounding vocals to a String Cheese sounding acoustic
guitar solo to a harmonious "Phil and Jerry" duet jam. The drummer controls the dynamic level quite well and never seems afraid
to turn it up a notch when the music calls for it. He is one of the main reasons the jamming sections of the CD don't sound
forced, but rather progress naturally. Highlights include Silcanturnitova, Precious Hands, and Red Sky. I strongly recommend
this CD for anyone even remotely interested in this genre of music.

I think I've played this album so much that my CD player melted through it. I can honestly say that it really is that good,
and the odd thing is that the Big Wu have gotten even better since it was put out, considering that it hjas been a couple
of years now. Definitley buy this one, and look for the new one, entitled "Folktales for the Bloodshot" coming out soon.
I see it's on sale, don't pass it up when opportunity knocks. The sound is very ecclectic, mixing styles of rock, bluegrass,
country, R+B,and anything else you can imagine with dueling guitar parts and sweet vocal harmonies. A real treat for any
jam band fan, or rock and roll lover.

The Big Wu just flat out jams. I've seen them live, and they can play. The album provides a great outline through the different
styles that they can mold together into a style all their own. The song Red Sky provides killer lyrics along with one hell
of a jam. I would encourage everyone, especially those of you who are into jam bands to check out The Big Wu.

I know the Dude worked really hard on this disc, and I'm pleased to say I think it's really great. The songs are fun to listen
to and very melodic. And the Dude's voice sounds better than ever. I wish more people would listen to this disc.
I thought it WAS Phish.

I'm a Billy Breathes fan. Dude of Life takes the members of Phish and recreates some of their earlier jam sounds. He does
a great job and gets some nice blues and rock and roll. But I'm a mellow guy. If you like mellow music, you won't like
this cd. If you like jam music, you'll love it. High points on this album include the song "Tow Truck Driver" and the
song dedicated to those who may have caused the death of Princess Di, "Paparatzi." Yes, some of the songs sound like Story
of the Ghost Phish music with a man who sounds like Tom Petty singing. But, all in all, the album is unique. Just a little
too loud. I'm getting too old for this kind of stuff.
simply amazing!

This album confirms The Dudes ability to create some fun, awesome music. Many of the songs were very catchy and keep you humming
them all day. The performance by his supporting musicians is fantastic. He certainly gathered a great group of musicians
to accompany him for this album.
However, I would have liked to have heard a little more from the very talented musicians and less of the extra noises that appear throughout. From start to finish, there were definetely signs of great talent. Lot's of fun. It's music that puts you in a good mood!

This album confirms what I had always suspected -- the Dude Rocks! The Trey contributions kick butt & Fishman's drumming
is right on. The Great Red Shark backs him on a few killer tracks particularly Scuba Dive. Check out Francella - what an
hysterical twisted rocker! The Dude has put down 10 great songs that remind me of why I fell in love with Phish in the
first place!

This CD can get pretty intense, with crazy synths making your head go in every which direction. Bass that is bouncin'. Guitar
that is streamin'. And flutes that are well, flutes. This Cd is my fav. and it very well could be their best CD.

i met a couple at a 'yes' concert - they gave me an ozric tentacles disc (pungent effulgent) - these humans were surprised
that i was unfamiliar with the ozrics - since i am such an avid 'yesfan' - - knocked-over as i was after hearing 'pungent'
- that decided to try waterfall cities - this is quite amazing music - its sound is fluid and yet solid at the same time -
very very impressive - it should be played at maximal volume - which implies raw power - yet it has such delicate moments
of beauty that it is astonishing - - if you've come to this page - you're probably already familiar with this music - so i'll
not convince you to buy this - either you will or you wont - - but *if* you really did just stumble here to this page - and
are unfamiliar with this group (as i was) - buy this disc - it is not 'progressive rock' really - i have no idea how you would
catagorize this music - it is truly unbelievable - it defies description
"add to shopping cart - proceed to checkout" and play it very very loud

I've seen Ozrics several times and have most of their CDs. For some reason, Ozrics has always created polished studio efforts,
starting with the classics Erpland, Strangitude and Jurassic Shift, going through the underrated Become the Other & Swirly
Termination, and ending with Hidden Step. However, for me, the CD that holds up the best over time and continues to grow in
depth is the fabulous Waterfall Cities. On this disc, the 2nd Ozrics lineup achieved their greatest focus and consistency,
and produced a space-rock masterpiece.
The title track, in my view, contains one of the five or six finest recorded guitar solos in the entire decade of the 90's. Here, Ed Gwynn channels Jeff Beck into a powerful, multi-phased statement of true virtuosity. Building in ferocity as the extended solo passage progresses, and yet avoiding the technical excesses of the Malmsteen/Vai/Satriani school, Gwynn builds the theme of the composition and finally erupts into a scorching single-string line that circles around the key of the passage and brings it home in flawless fashion, followed by a keyboard jam passage of stunning beauty that takes the song in a completely different direction. Satriani only WISHES he could build compositions like this. Exciting and inspirational.
After opening with a passage resembling chamber music from Mars in Ch'ai?, Gwynn also contributes another scorching solo which is built upon an incredibly solid rhythm section backdrop - another specialty from this particular Ozrics lineup. The whole disc is like this. Without going into detail about every track, the entire CD breathes of integrity and concentration. This is a flawless effort from a band that really deserved a lot more exposure than they have ever received.

I loved Wishbone Ash 25 years ago. Argus was amazing. This DVD could have been so much better. It has vintage Ash mixed with
new Ash. Some of the real old stuff is poorly recorded and the sound quality is mediocre. The DVD will go from a new color
video with good sound quality, and then go to a 20-30 year old black and white video with poor sound quality.......back and
forth. Some color, some black and white....back and forth. I loved the studio albums back then. I would say this DVD is for
avid fans who just want to see what they were like then, and who they are now. Only one original member now. I think it would
have been better if they would have showed the old stuff together as a group, and the new stuff together as a a group, instead
of back and forth. There was no continuity while watching it. Hard to get into it when the faces, sound quality, color, etc
kept changing from video to video. Anyway.......I will always love their music and I guess it's cool to see them then and
now, but I can't say that I'd recommend this unless you're a big fan.
Classic Ash then and now

Wow!i was really happy after buying this dvd and viewing it as Wishbone ash has always been amongst my favourite bands. Here
in this dvd is proof of just how good these guys were in concert back in the seventies and even now.this superb dvd includes
rare footage from the original line up in the seventies, right up to the unreleased material the terrific London show in 2003.Most
of their classic cuts are featured here including material from Australia, the US and the UK.This is the definitive guide to
the excellent phenomenon of Wishbone ash in concert.Highly recommended.
