Latin Jazz Music

THIS MAN IS THE VIBE KING! My husband and I heard Bob and his band by accident at the Warehouse Restaurant in Marina Del Rey - and what a jewel of a find! I bought the CD right on the spot from his wife! His music is lively, sexy, earthy - incredibly talented musicians. An absolute treat. We listen to this album every weekend on our boat - and dance our booties off! Can't recommend it enough! Wish I could find Bob on the Internet and get hios concert series! We'd love to see him and his band in person again!

This is a pretty good CD for dancing Lambada. It's a bit tacky, but it's hard to get good Lambada anywhere, so this CD is suitable. Most songs are pretty catchy, even if it's all done on a synthesiser (or sounds like it!). I wouldn't pay a lot of money for this CD, but if it's a bargain then go for it!

Arin Simonian's voice is simply wonderful...rich while simultaneously open and light. Her instrumentals are, if anything, even better than her singing. I was hooked from the very first clarinet solo at the beginning of the first song. Nice acousitc guitar, complex and skilled. The addition of other instruments fills out the music without being overwhelming. Voice and instruments are perfectly melded to complement each other; neither overpowers the other, and each is free to pursue their own melodies. There's calmness and ease in the music, which, combined with the generally uplifting (and surprisingly un-cheesy) lyrics, make for truly great music--each song is equally awesome.
