The Brass Fantasy was a wonderful group that Lester Bowie led--kind of a late 20th century interpretation of the New Orleans
brass band, but playing the music of the day. It's a real kick in the pants to hear some of the pop tunes as they are interpreted
here. The tuba player rocks! Forget the oom-pah! My favorite is their interpretation of that jukebox favorite, Crazy. This
is a great album for someone with a fairly open mind and a good sense of humor.
