I discovered Lisa Ono a few years ago when one of her songs was included on a compilation album. I couldn't get her sound
out of her head, but I couldn't find any of her CD's here in the US. Then a few summers ago I traveled to Taiwan, where she
is a big star, (via influence from Japan) and bought every Lisa Ono CD I could find. Wish she was more well known here!
She has such a special, unique voice. It's straight and smooth on the surface, but underneath there are hidden depths of
phrasing that create such a pleasing sound. This CD is one of my favorites. It's very clean and rhythmic, with lots of upbeat
tracks that are guaranteed to make you feel happy. When I first bought the album, I played "Samba do Soho" about a hundred
times and couldn't stop dancing to it! What a great song. "So Danco Samba" is one of my other favorites. The arrangements
are so perfectly put together, not one note is out of place. I wish everyone could discover Lisa Ono...we are missing out
on a great voice!

I have loved Lisa Ono's music for quite some time, and this is the first CD of hers that I have bought.
Her voice has such a relaxing quality to it, and she's arranged her music really well. My favourite track (and basically the track I bought the CD for) is Beyond the Reef.

This is Lisa's very first album. She's one of great bossa nova singers. Her unique but gentle voice is very soothing. When
I want to relax, I always play her CD. Her upbeat songs are excellent, too. The title track makes your body sway! This
CD contains great songs. "You're So Unique" is sung in English. Tracks are:
