Was so surprised to see this new album in the music stores in Manila. It just arrived without much funfare or hype or press. Nevertheless, the great Sergio Mendes has once again served us an audio adventure that is worth playing from song 1 to the last cut - cut 14! The production, the performances, the arrangements are all fresh and innovative. Of course, Will I. Am is once again on board on this album but this latest album offers so much more than the fusion of hip hop and brazilian rhythms/melodies. A lot of guest artists on board - Natalie Cole, Juanes, Fergie...and a couple of old friends - Lani Hall, Herb Alpert, of course - Sergio's wife who has the perfect voice for this kind of music - Gracinha Leporace.
