Elegant and relaxed, music that grows on you and leaves an afterglow. Excellent arrangements complement Agnelli's heartfelt,
smoky vocals. A nice range of tunes that should appeal to a wide range of listeners.

Lauren Agnelli has done herself proud with her debut solo album. She is not new to the music industry playing with groups
like Nervous Rex, The Washington Squares, Brave Combo, Agnelli and Rave and The Rooks. She has been writing and performing
great music for a while but now gets the chance to showcase her talents. She has a wonderful way of expressing the emotions
of Love, Romance and Broken Hearts.
She is backed by a wonderful collection of musicians who recreate the sound of days gone by. This album has the sound of live studio recording. The band supports the singer without overshadowing her talents.
Lauren has a great way of taking a standard and making it her own. She performs I'm Confessin', September Song snd On The Street Where You Live with a passion for the lyrics. She has also written and co-written some amazing songs for this album -- Mi Querida, Special Someone, Love's Afterglow, Bitter/Sweet, It Must Be Tuesday, That Kind of Boy, Western Winds, Sand Castle Song, Techinicolor Shadow and my favorite the title track Love Always Follows Me.
This album is for the romantic or the person that enjoys great music. This is a cd that you should have in your collection. Lauren has proved herself to be a great Romantic at heart and in song. Way to go Lauren!! I can't wait for the follow-up.

Francoise hardy meets Nico with The Left Banke in tow!
emotive vocals with wonderful baroque-ish string arrangements evocative of the first Nico lp but with a swinging
jazz combo in tow! Hard to describe properly but fantastic!

This album was Astrud Gilberto's second LP after the virtual disappearance of the Verve label.
This CD won't probably convert a lot of new fans. However, there are those who have previously been seduced by Ms Gilberto's incomparable rendition of smooth, soothing, relaxing and magical music: a gentle blend of samba, pop and the odd jazz inflections.
For these people, this CD will prove a delight.
I find it as fresh today as when I bought the original US LP in 1972. There is a mixture of English and Portuguese lyrics and Ms Gilberto authored or co-authored several tracks.
Eumir Deodato provided the first class musical arrangements and played alongside a small group of ace jazz musicians. I particularly enjoy the contribution from Airto Moreira on assorted percussions.
The sound has been carefully remastered from what were state-of-the-art recordings in the first place.
My own favourite songs are "Touching You" and "Daybreak" - pure bliss. There is not a dud track in sight and the only complaint is that the album might have been longer.

I just picked up the recently remastered version of this album and I just love it. I don't own everything by her yet and
intend to pick up everything. At the same time I am going of my way to get this one first because this album was the first
to showcase her songwriting skills. "Take it easy, my brother Charlie" is such a chestnut. The tone of the album is soft
with a touch of her signtature melancholy. It also features more festive type numbers. If you like "Pet Sounds" and Bossa
Nova and like thinking outside of the box, I highly recommend this warm and mood-setting record. It sure doesn't hurt having
Ron Carter or two members of Dizzy's band swing with her.
