This CD is fun and festive! I have a lot of Christmas music and this CD is one you can put in and listen to from start to
finish. I even like the instrumental songs! Great for family parties, the car while you are Christmas shopping, cleaning
the house before your Christmas party, and even one a younger crowd would like to listen to. Money well spent for the season.
Would also make a good gift!

I got this CD for my 11 year old son. He plays the clarinet and he has become a big fan of swing. He loves the new twists
on old Christmas classics.
So much fun!

While I agree with a previous reviewer that Brian Setzer's voice has not been well-preserved, this album is just irresistible.
He even takes a turn with his own version of the Nutcracker melodies, and is for the most part, successful. Worth every penny
if you like upbeat Christmas music.

Pleasant and fun Christmas CD. A good holiday listen for fans of big band/swing/boogie woogie, etc. Good companion piece to
the superior WE THREE KINGS by Reverend Horton Heat. YEA!
Boogie all your blues away.

This was the Brian Setzer Orchestra's first Christmas album. The orchestra features guitar(Brian), bass, drums and 13 horns.
They play swing music with a touch of rockabilly mixed in. On this album, they play older Christmas songs, plus Brian's nice
original "So They Say It's Christmas". This songs are played in a fun, swinging style. This is a highly enjoyable Christmas
album.

I cannot belive I went to high school with this guy! I noticed the big band influence that accents this album based on my
experiences observing him perform in junior high school, and the influences of British musicians such as Dave Edmonds and
others. If you don't have any other Brian Setzer albums, at least have this one in your collection!!

Brian Setzer with this Christmas CD is a lot of fun. Brian uses his usual lightning fast guitar and his Rock and Roll roots
to come up with something that not only sounds great but manages to get you into the Christmas spirit as well.
He uses a very high energy version of Jingle Bells to open the CD.
Winter Wonderland is another great song, and again Brian at his best.
Blue Christmas is similar to the version that Elvis did, but he does have his own signature on this one.
The Man with the Bag is another fun song to listen.
Sleigh Ride is another great song.
O Holy Night surprisingly comes off very well.
Brian Setzer with the help of his rockin orchestra, have put togehter a great Christmas CD...........enjoy

This is a real treat. To mix bigband beat with a classical "sunstudio" sound picture, lift this album way above average.
Brian Setzer voice is glorious sometimes and he gives flavour to upbeat tempo songs, and the more slower songs . The duet
with Ann-Margret Track 6 Baby Its Cold Outside, is a winner, and you dont need to heat up the temperature in your living
room. It`s enough to listen to this one. Im impressed how Setzer and his Orchestra can create his own identity and signature
on many of this songs. Another winner is certainly Track 9 Sleigh Ride, with a swing tempo up beat, and a glorius rock and
roll guitar solo which just blow you away. To nearly end the album is Track 11 O Holy night, shows what voice Setzer realy
has. Full of emotions with a big E. All in all this is an CD to rockin around the christmas tree too, and also to relax too.
A great collection from The Brian Setzer Orchestra .

My sister and I were discussing this CD and could not determine what kind of music Brian Setzer has made this season brighter
with...
Is it rockabilly? Big band? What?
The lyrics in this Christmas special argue that it's a form popularized in the mid-to-late 50s. It represents a transition into the rock and roll classic era, no question, but so many of those artists had by then abandoned the big band sound.
Anyway, it would not be Christmas without the leering allusions of this funny, lively album. The production value is pure Cinerama, and you won't be bored with the adaptations. The only cut I had a too-hard time with was the Nutcracker variations; somehow they reminded me too much of the Spike Jones version which, by comparison, sounded better.
"Tis the season."

If you enjoy Boogie Woogie, this album is a must. Axel plays a representative range of classical titles and has a lightness
of touch which is rare. His variations on a theme are a delight, especially his 10 minute masterpiece version of 'Roll 'Em
Pete'.

This is the latest in a long line of classic Linda Gail Lewis albums. The first 12 songs are very much in the 'Jerry Lee Lewis
at SUN' mould, & include covers of several of his songs, such as 'Old Black Joe', 'Fools Like Me', 'Am I To Be The One', etc.
Other covers include Carl Perkins' 'Boppin' The Blues', Marty Stuart's 'Hillbilly Rock', Frankie Lymon's 'Goody Goody', &
Sister Rosetta Tharpe's 'Strange Things Happening Every Day'.
The highlight of the album though are the six 'bonus' tracks. These are three-part harmony songs, backed only by an acoustic guitar, & credited to 'The Lewis 3'. 'The Lewis 3' are in fact Linda Gail Lewis with her daughters MaryJean McCall & Annie Marie Allgood. Look out for this act in the future, refreshingly different from anything else currently available!
