Boogie Woogie Music

Lisa Otey (Arizona, USA) met Mr Boogie Woogie (the Netherlands) over the internet and they agreed to cross sponsor each other into their respective blues networks. Both being honest and symbiotic folks, and mutually brilliant and talented musicians and dynamic energized performers of blues and boogie woogie piano, their mutual admiration and love of music developed into one of the most wonderful piano and vocal male/female duos going. While each is a powerhouse unto themselves, when these four hands get going on the C7 Yamaha at Jim Brady's Recording Studio in Tucson, the roof blows! These two wrote compositions for this album, then Lisa performed four of her own favorites (including Etta James' At Last) on this Owl's Nest Productions version of Boogie Woogie Baby. (Mr Boogie Woogie released his own version of Boogie Woogie Baby on his label, Firesweep Records, in the Netherlands, and it has four tunes he selected). Boogie Diva meets the Boogie Man making the temperatures rise even in Arizona! It is definitely worth having and is enjoying worldwide play.

I have just "discovered" Boogie Woogie piano music, and I was lucky enough to buy this CD first. I played it through once then immediately made several copies, because I knew I would play it so much that I would wear it out!! If you feel blue and want to feel better quick, just play this CD. You won't be blue and you won't be able to sit still! My favorite is "Hard Luck Blues". The only bad thing is that I can't find any more songs by Everett Robbins. Buy this CD and be prepared to ENJOY!!
