As one of Brian Setzer's biggest fans, I own all of his recordings. If you like his Big Band (or anyone's big band) and only want one CD, then this is the one you want. The best of the best of Setzer's big band is right here! Don't worry about the price--it's an import and it's worth it. If you want to spend a little less, then buy the Dirty Boogie CD--you'll love it! For the swingingest holiday music ever, check-out Setzer's "Dig that Crazy Christmas" CD. And, "Live in Japan" will probably be your favorite DVD of all time!

If you like his music, you will LOVE him in person. His amazing shows truly are an "Extravaganza"!

This compilation is fabulous. Unlike the american compilation here you get all the hits and four newly recorded songs. Stray Cat Strut (which you can find only here) in a orchestra version, El Diablo (a latin actually salsa song), Sexy Sexy and Scatman Jack are another masterpieces of Brian Setzer.
Compilation worth to have!

This CD is fun and festive! I have a lot of Christmas music and this CD is one you can put in and listen to from start to finish. I even like the instrumental songs! Great for family parties, the car while you are Christmas shopping, cleaning the house before your Christmas party, and even one a younger crowd would like to listen to. Money well spent for the season. Would also make a good gift!

I got this CD for my 11 year old son. He plays the clarinet and he has become a big fan of swing. He loves the new twists on old Christmas classics.

While I agree with a previous reviewer that Brian Setzer's voice has not been well-preserved, this album is just irresistible. He even takes a turn with his own version of the Nutcracker melodies, and is for the most part, successful. Worth every penny if you like upbeat Christmas music.

Pleasant and fun Christmas CD. A good holiday listen for fans of big band/swing/boogie woogie, etc. Good companion piece to the superior WE THREE KINGS by Reverend Horton Heat. YEA!

This was the Brian Setzer Orchestra's first Christmas album. The orchestra features guitar(Brian), bass, drums and 13 horns. They play swing music with a touch of rockabilly mixed in. On this album, they play older Christmas songs, plus Brian's nice original "So They Say It's Christmas". This songs are played in a fun, swinging style. This is a highly enjoyable Christmas album.

We are using one of the songs on this CD as our wedding song. This is a great CD, great for dancing.

Don't get me wrong, this is a good recording by the absolute master! But, if you are looking for a more rockin' time look elsewhere (in Brian's catalog, of course!). If you are a big fan, buy this. If not, buy a later Setzer Orchestra cd, & work your way to this.

This concert is a hoot. Brian Setzer is a world class nerd but his enthusiasm for entertaining is also world class. I don't think I have every watched an entertainer who is having so much fun, and that is infectious and makes this concert a whole lot of fun to watch. The music is first class and full of energy.

This DVD is a must own for any guitar student. Especially a middle-aged one like me. Having viewed it, I realized the error of my ways.
I had just finished learning "Badge", and when I got to the end...boring!
I tossed all my Clapton/SRV/Blues rock materials right in the trash. Adios!
Setzer is pulling from all the great american musical genres. So, instead
of long, snaking, pentatonic riffing(not that there's anything wrong with that), you get music that's way more interesting, and engaging.
Also, Setzer is an unabashed showman. And his crew seems to love working with him.
Get it and enjoy.

My DVD collection has concerts of : Lamb of God,Arch Enemy,Megadeth,Maiden,Metallica and Sepultura to name a few.That should give you an idea of my musical tastes.I bought this DVD after I heard the song "Rock this town" on a friends CD.I was very apprehensive of how I would take to this concert,but my fears were unfounded.Setzer shreds like the best of them.In spite of being a rabid metalhead,I know a good concert when I hear/see one and this is a top notch gig.The band esp. the bass player and drummer are awesome.Im gald I have this gem in my concert DVD collection.BUY IT if you like a high energy,ripping concert !

Great toe-tapping music, good show, sound mix and recording on this DVD is supurb.

There's something the matter with you if you don't like this... I just can't stress it enough that Setzer is one of the very best musicians to ever grace this planet. Yes the Stray Cats are cooler than school, but this is even better. Just got this disc for Christmas and personally feel it's even better than the other two Setzer DVD's out there. The BSO rocks you through many classics as well as plenty of his own material. Live rock 'n roll shows just don't get any better than this. I'm a huge fan of Brian's guitar playing... just that killer Gretsch sound through a Fender amp, perfect.
